Wit

Nøgne Ø Wit is a great beer for the summer but also quite a complex beer to drink all year round and I was really looking forward to trying this Nøgne Ø Wit as they usually have quite yeasty beers that are not filtered. As with most wit beers this one had the pale yellow hazy colour that was slightly cloudy, depends on how fast you pour it, the more cloudy it will be. Very appealing beer with a very clear white head. Straight away the coriander hits you along with its wheat characteristics followed by the citrus, soap and some yeast.

The orange peel is there and also got some white pepper, but in general the spices are mild and work well together. Refreshingly crisp with a dry and tart finish with a little more hops that expected that takes a little away from the fruit and spice but all in all a very stable brew. A very nice wheat based beer that I liked a lot and would have difficulty  in distinguishing this apart from a classic Hefeweizen.
